Gabrielle Layton

I  am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and received my M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida in 2015. I’ve worked with all different types of clients (individuals, couples and families) and specialize in trauma work.

As your therapist, it is my goal to see you become a healthier version of you. It is my belief that pain travels through families until someone is willing to feel it. If you’re on the journey to stop that cycle, I’d love to be a guide to help you to live more authentically. I’ve worked with all different types of clients with varied needs. My areas of expertise are in Trauma, Depression, Anxiety and Relational/Interpersonal concerns. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a Humanistic approach to focus on building strong attachments as well as also help clients to have a healthier belief system about themselves and the world.

When it comes to practicing, collaboration is a key component in our sessions.

The moments in therapy that I live for are the ones that include building trust in our relationship as well as when someone is able to identify, challenge and replace that negative inner belief. Trust is so important to relationships and once a client has established that, we can really look at the harmful messaging that is most likely playing on loop in the background and interfering with your relationships. Therapy is a collaborative process and it’s my goal to help build that self confidence you’ve been missing!

Feel free to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and how I can help you get started on the path to a more positive you!

Looking forward to meeting you,
Gabrielle
