Orlando Therapists
Orlando Therapists are a dime a dozen. How in the world are you suppose to pick one randomly from the internet? You are about to enter into a relationship with a therapist that you will be disclosing private information with. You maybe have been to a therapists in the past and do not have the best memories. Were you rushed out of the office after 50 minutes? Maybe you were finally getting to the part of your story that evokes the most emotion. The therapists cuts you off and tells you to “hold that thought”. You feel worse when you leave than when you came in.
There are plenty of below average and average therapists practicing. Many or most are not even conscious enough to lead you out of the weeds because their own life is in turmoil. Hint ( Therapist won’t admit it but unless they have done the deep work of self actualization. They will believe they truly are in this profession to help others. What they are really doing is trying to find themselves through their clients.)

How Do I Know if My Therapist is Working For Me or Themselves
- Does your counselor talk nonstop about themselves when you try to bring up a topic? The therapist tells you stories of her or his own life and you sit there waiting to talk.
- Your therapist tells you what you need to do. It’s as if they are playing God. This blows me away when I hear clients tell me that the therapist makes claims that a couple must or should get a divorce. That is not our job. I would say run form that therapist. It is also not the therapist job to say that you must stay if your choosing to leave the relationship. We are to meet you at your need. You know yourself best.
- If your therapist is using the words right and wrong and good and bad then you can be assured that they are coming from their own prejudice and bias.

My Role
As your therapist, my function or role is to help be a guide that will try my hardest to help clients as they travel along their path. As they sift and sort through the stories, fears, anxieties or missteps they perceive they have made along the journey. I work collaboratively not leading in front or pushing from behind. We all have blinders on and need help seeing what we miss or is not seen. I will help point out those obstacles and make suggestions for an alternate path when I see one. You have to be the one to take the action. Together if your open to seeing yourself and your role that you play, we will make a dynamic and powerful team.
Understand more about my approach and let’s see if we are a good fit. There is no time like the present to start doing the real work.
