For years I was lost, I thought that this constant cycle of work, friends, social media, and repeat was the best my life would ever be. However, I found myself constantly unhappy, hopeless, and unfulfilled. I felt like I was living my life to please others, whether that would be my family, my friends, my professors, or my bosses. During this time I was dealing with constant anxiety, depression and insomnia. Meditation found me when I was in a very dark time of my life. I was in college taking 23 credit hours, working an unfulfilling job, in an extremely toxic relationship, and partying every night to numb the pain. I was at the lowest point of my life. I was not happy with any aspect of my life, I was insecure, and felt completely alone.
After seeing firsthand the benefits of meditation and breathwork, it is now my passion to guide others in cultivating a meditation practice that fits perfectly into their own lives. At first creating a meditation and breathwork practice that works for you can be overwhelming and many don’t know how/where to begin. I would be honored to be your guide/teacher along this journey and provide a supporting environment where you can not only relax and take out time for yourselves, but also learn firsthand about the transformative benefits that meditation can bring into your own lives.
I found meditation through a YouTube video. At first I didn’t think much of it, what was a few minutes of breathing going to do for all my problems. However, what I came to find out is that it completely transformed my life. My anxiety drastically decreased, my insomnia went away, I felt more energetic, more present, and I could list a hundred other benefits. I became fascinated with the transformative qualities of meditation and mindfulness and over the last few years have researched and cultivated a daily practice that greatly benefits my day to day life. Not only did my mental health get better, I started to become more secure in my daily life. I made time to meditate everyday, I started to make healthier choices in my diet, I started a daily yoga practice, and most importantly I really started to love myself.
