Hannah Mayderry, M.Ed., Ed.S., RMHCI

My approach to therapy begins with the acknowledgment that life often feels out of control. I view therapy as the process of working towards self-empowerment, in the midst of an unpredictable world. My passion for counseling stems from my own experience of learning to control what I can. Being kind to myself and learning to let go of what is out of my control is key. I believe that as we become aware of things that are no longer serving us, we make room for things that will.

I listen intently to your life story while not making assumptions. By doing this it does not hinder my ability to be present in session. This process allows the individuals I work with to acknowledge that they have the power to shape their lives in a manner that supports what they wish to achieve, no matter how many pieces of it seem too difficult to overcome.
