Emotional Bottom and When is Enough?
Emotional bottom and when is enough going to be enough? If I am seeking outward to fill me up inside then when do I get full? Is it when I reach a standard, a certain look or an image is achieved? Is it when he or she loves me more or enough according to their standards? We have this idea that there is a way, a right and wrong look, way to act, feel and believe. Who wrote the handbook because I have never seen one and even if I did have a handbook, who would be the authority writing it?
This all sounds very heavy and confusing. I can spend the rest of this life running away from myself trying to catch this idea and standard and image my whole life. It will create frustration, anger, greed, shame, resentment. Don Miguel Ruiz author of “The Four Agreements”, puts this in a way that we can really understand. He calls this the “domestication of the planet, the Black Magician”. The lies of society, the conditioning, the agreements we make with ourselves according to the outside world and beliefs of others. Here on earth we can choose to life in heaven or hell. We create our own personal nightmare by choosing to deny our true self. That which is the true flawless beauty that resides in us all. Always has and always will.
Hypnotized by Society
Creating Our Emotional Bottom
We have become a culture hypnotized by the Black Magician, the media, educational and religious sectors, politicians, media, music, and the most important and leader of them all, our parents. We believe who we are is what these factors tell us we are. They tell us we are not enough, to much, not smart, not RIGHT. Could it be that we were right all along and they have it backwards?
Stop Drinking the Cool Aid
Have you hit your Emotional Bottom yet?
We know we have hit an emotional bottom, when we one day decide we are sick and tired of drinking the Black Magicians poison. The lies of others, the “right” way to think, act and feel. This person now reaches a point and decides to “wake up” and see the reality of the dream that has been woven and spun. We ask ourselves if we want to continue on this path or we take the road less traveled back to our true self. Back to love, peace, balance and alignment of our own true self and spirit. The place where the unconditional love resides. Only here will we start to unravel and challenge these beliefs, agreements that lead to pain and suffering.
All is well, all is divine, all is good. Always has been, always will be. Truth, peace and love. Happiness is attainable.
